Caldwell Food Pantries - Help Where You Need It
Things have been tough for a lot of people lately and finding resources during a pandemic can be a challenge. Many businesses have either closed, changed how they operate, or changed what services they are providing. One of the biggest struggles out there is finding food. Food insecurity is something we have seen many of our patrons struggle with. Because of this, we have gathered information on different food pantries in the area and compiled a list. Below will focus on food pantries within closest walking distance from the library but we can also give information on other food pantries in the area.

Flying M Community Fridge – 9-minute walk from the library
The Flying M Community Fridge is located inside the Flying M in downtown Caldwell at 724 Arthur St. It is a take what you need, leave what you can style of fridge that is run by 2C Mutual Aid. Community members can go in and grab whatever they need with no questions asked and no need to even talk to staff. It is located at the back of the shop right next to the bathroom. It offers sack lunches (stocked weekly) along with refrigerated and pantry food items. Menstruation and a few other hygiene products are also available. It is available during Flying M’s open hours, Monday-Friday: 6:30 am – 10 pm, Saturday: 7:30 am – 10 pm, and Sunday: 7:30 am – 4 pm.

WICAP Caldwell – 14-minute walk from the library
WICAP offers a food pantry Monday – Thursday from 8 am – 5 pm at their office at 502 Main St. They also offer a variety of other sources including emergency needs, assistance with job searching, and rental assistance among other resources. WICAP will also be at the library every Thursday from 10 am – 5 pm to assist members of the community with other resources.
World Harvest Church of God of Prophecy – 10-minute walk from the library
The food pantry runs from 10 am – 12 pm on the third Saturday of the Month. It is located at 803 Main St.
The Salvation Army – 13-minute walk from the library
The food pantry runs from 1 pm – 3:30 pm, Tuesday – Thursday. It is located at 1015 E Chicago St.
