Updated: Nov 26, 2020

The mission of the Caldwell Public Library is to "provide services and information to connect, enrich, and inspire our community." Library staff strive to provide the best possible experience for our users - both in-person and online. We understand the importance of building trust with our users and helping them find the resources they need. Over the next several months, we will highlight each of our staff members and the work they do to provide excellent library services to you - our users.

Did you know the library offers more than books to check out? In fact, we have video games, movies, story kits, cake pans, a ukulele, mobile internet hot spots, yard games, board games, and much more!

Hi, I’m Michael, and I’m the Circulation Lead here at the Caldwell Public Library. Most days you’ll be able to find me at the Front desk or see me wandering the stacks doing various housekeeping tasks like shelving or searching for items. If you need a library card or have questions or issues with your account, I’m here to help. I graduated from BSU in 2014 with a degree in English and began my library career when I joined the Nampa Public Library in 2016.

My responsibilities here at the library are as varied as they are vast. I spend my time training circulation staff and volunteers, processing materials for holds and check-out, organizing collections, searching for items, and helping our patrons at the front desk. I’m proud to work here at CPL because we provide the community with so many wonderful items and services. The staff here are very knowledgeable and professional. Our top priority is to provide the community with information resources in a safe, inviting, and open environment.

When I’m not power walking through the stacks to find a patron the perfect book, I’m relaxing with my wife and cats, playing board games, thrifting, watching old horror movies, or practicing with my band. Come on in, check out something new, and we can chat about underrated punk albums or your favorite movie.
