Meet the Staff: Morgan Griffiths

The mission of the Caldwell Public Library is to "provide services and information to connect, enrich, and inspire our community." Library staff strive to provide the best possible experience for our users - both in-person and online. We understand the importance of building trust with our users and helping them find the resources they need. Over the next several months, we will highlight each of our staff members and the work they do to provide excellent library services to you - our users.

Hi, my name is Morgan, and I work at the circulation desk - you may hear it referred to as the front desk, either name is fine. If you need help checking out items or managing your library account, I'm one of the people you can talk to! I've worked at the Caldwell library for the last year and a half, and I still love what I do.

You may have heard of the library's feminine hygiene/menstrual product drive this summer. I helped organize and execute this drive with the assistance of a couple of my co-workers. Before working in the library, I worked in a homeless shelter in Nampa. One of my goals at the shelter was to offer free feminine hygiene kits to our residents and others experience homelessness, but the shelter closed before I could make that happen. I was thrilled when our director approved my project for the library. Unfortunately, I have seen a lack of resources for low-income women in Caldwell. The library is a staple in the Caldwell community, and by offering free feminine hygiene kits to community members, and working with other organizations (like Flying M!), I believe our community will grow closer.

One of the best things about my job is meeting people and hearing their stories. I especially love talking to our regulars because they always have a joke or two to share. So if you see me in the library, make sure to say hello!
